Terms of Use

By installing or playing Hoop IQ you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use the app.

The games. Five puzzles — Basketball5, Grid, Wordle, Bingo and Top 10 — in three difficulty tiers. Every puzzle is generated once a day and is identical for every player. Days roll over at midnight UTC.

Tries. You get six free tries a day, shared across all five games, and they refill at midnight UTC. Losing a board costs one try. You can spend points on extra tries or watch an optional rewarded ad for one. Tries and points have no cash value, cannot be bought with money, and cannot be transferred, sold or refunded.

Points and the leaderboard. Wins pay points, multiplied by the difficulty tier. Signed-in players are ranked on a weekly leaderboard that resets every week; the top three receive a bonus. We may adjust the points, tries and bonus values at any time to keep the game balanced.

Fair play. Do not automate play, script the app, tamper with the client, or use the search or scoring endpoints outside the app. Do not set a display name that is abusive, impersonates someone else, or is otherwise offensive. We may reset a score, remove a name from the leaderboard, or close an account that does any of this.

Ad blocking. The app is free because of ads. Games stay locked while an ad blocker or blocking private DNS is switched on.

Guest play. Guest progress lives on your device and is not backed up. Uninstalling, clearing app data, or switching devices loses it. That is not recoverable, and it is not a bug.

Player data. Player names, teams and statistics are factual sporting records used to build the puzzles. Team names and logos belong to their respective owners. Hoop IQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA or any team or player.

Availability. The puzzles are served from our servers, so the app needs a connection and can be unavailable during maintenance or an outage. We provide the app as it is, without warranty, and we may change or discontinue it.
