Content Policy

Hoop IQ has one place where players can publish anything: the display name shown on the weekly leaderboard. This page covers what belongs there and what we do about the rest.

Display names. Pick a name you would be happy to see on a public board. We remove names that are abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, that impersonate another player or a real person, or that advertise something.

Enforcement. We may reset a display name, remove an entry from the weekly leaderboard, or close an account outright. We do not warn first, and the weekly board resets anyway.

Reporting a name. Send us the name and the week you saw it and we will look at it. Reports are reviewed and acted on within a reasonable period.

Player data. Player names, teams and statistics used to build the puzzles are factual sporting records drawn from public sources. Team names and logos belong to their respective owners. Hoop IQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA or any team or player.

Rights holders. If you hold rights to material used in the app and want it removed, send us where it appears, proof of ownership, and a statement of good faith. Valid requests are honoured.
